 Hello Troops,

Tonight I spoke to Kurt Bimler he is the District Chairperson in charge of the pinewood derby.  I asked him to clarify the Rule #16 stating that the slot location must be maintained for axle placement. The question had been asked  DO WE HAVE TO USE THE  SLOTS THAT ARE PROVIDED ON THE CAR?  Districts answer is NO , you may drill your own holes as long as the 4 3/8" spacing is maintained. Or you may use the slots provided. EXTENED  WHEEL BASES WILL BE DISQUALIFIED. No cars will be disqualified for drilling there own holes, as long as the spacing is maintained. If you choose to drill your holes, make sure all of the measurements are correct . Read the specs.

I hope this clears up any confusion. So boys rip open those boxes and get cutting.
Dads you might want to help your guys with the power tools. Remember , this is for our boys. Make it fun and make it memorable.

TRACK UPDATE: Last night  we assembled our shiney new Race Track. Thanks to those who helped put the pieces together. It looks and sounds pretty cool. We hope that this years derby is the BEST EVER!!

HAPPY RACING!!
CM Scott
