Dear members,
Hi my name is Apurva and I am a member from Dunedin in New Zealand, originally from India, but been living in NZ for quite a while now.
I was recently online and searching for some guidance on home-visitation and came across this conversation between some members on Google group

Subject: Re: 105 Home Visits
MEMBERS WITH 20 + YEARS OF PRACTICE WERE VERY DISAPPOINTED TO HEAR FROM LEADERS THAT "YOU HAVE TO BE A LEADER" TO GO ON A HOME VISIT. ... what about this? SOME PEOPLE IN OUR DISTRICT WERE VERY UPSET THAT THIS WAS THE "POLICY" - THAT SOMEHOW UNLESS YOU ARE A LEADER YOU ARE NOT QUALIFIED TO VISIT PEOPLE. THIS IS NOT PRESIDENT IKEDA'S SPIRIT. |
I could sense that this was a very important conversation, I felt that this was too public a domain and as unfortunately content from Google groups is no longer private, it easily visible to any one who might accidentally stumble across it, just like I did.
Having been a leader myself I could understand the gravity of the issue being discussed and I do feel that maybe it is best to keep such important conversations as private as possible and discussed on a less public forum..
I really
really hope that you don't take me wrong, please believe I am only suggesting this to safeguard members and especially new members whose faith might still be at a delicate stage, and reading such a conversation may confuse them and their feelings towards our beautiful practice.
Hope every one is doing well in Manhattan Central District!
Warm Regards from the other side of the world!
Apurva
