Case Study: Zurich Mobile Commerce

Presentation description:

In this case study, Ben Ellis will take an in-depth look at the approaches and technologies Old Town IT used to build Zurich, a mobile point-of-sale platform.  Topics covered include Azure technologies, Windows 8 apps and the Windows app store, MvvmCross and iPad development, hardware integrations, and even 3-D printing.

Speaker bio:

Ben Ellis is a software developer at Old Town IT and serves as the technical lead for Zurich, a mobile point of sale platform.  When he’s not slinging XAML or working in the cloud, his mind remains in the cloud as he wraps up work on his honorary doctorate in ornithology.  Interesting note, Ben is actually an aqua belt in the underwater martial arts discipline, Swim Kim Bo.
