GOOGLE GROUP BEING DEPRECATED!

As a reminder, please join our newly created Meetup (free for members--OTI is generously sponsoring the cost) for many new features including an event calendar, a native app for smartphones, better collaboration tools, and improved discoverability for our local developer community.  After you sign up/join our Meetup, be sure to make any desired adjustments to your Meetup email notifications as well as setup a basic profile.  Additionally, our Facebook page is and will continue to be alive and active, so please join if you haven't already!

Over the next couple months we'll be transitioning away from the Google Group to solely using Meetup and Facebook for meeting announcements and other communications, so don't get left out!  If you experience issues signing up or have any questions, please contact me at pureux [at] gmail.com.

Case Study: Spend Stack

This talk will focus on lessons learned from releasing Spend Stack, an iOS app that helps keep a running total of your shopping lists.

Jordan Morgan will cover where to spend money on marketing, what to focus on and what to spend less effort on, and being an indie developer in general.

While it's a little non-traditional for our .NET users group since it doesn't directly touch on any technologies corollary to .NET, we feel it's a compelling topic of local entrepreneurship and application development from one of our own members and will resonate with other members who may be interested in similar ventures, within or outside of the .NET ecosystem. We are excited to have Jordan present!

We will continue to have our traditional swag from our sponsors (many thanks to Todd Christell for all his hard work in continually procuring the aforementioned swag) in the form of books, training materials, and software licenses.

I hopped on the sgfdotnet.org site to insure that the Pluralsite link worked and I noticed that it still talks about Google Groups as the main communications channel.
