To All,

Over the past four years, I've encountered a mix of challenges and successes, much like life's journey for each of us. I realize I haven't been present in Ephrata often, if at all, during these years, and I'd like to explain why.

In 2012, I had the opportunity to explore parts of Europe, where I came across a remarkable aircraft: the MC-30 Luciole, designed by French aeronautical engineer Michele Colomban. Its unique and efficient design left a lasting impression on me, leading me to decide to build one myself. However, obtaining the plans posed a challenge, as the designer wasn't interested in selling them in the United States and Canada. Determined to pursue this project, I had to employ creative means to acquire the plans, exemplifying the saying, "Where there's a will, there's a way." Eventually, I succeeded and commenced building in March of 2014.

Gradually, the airplane began to take shape, with visible progress made day by day, step by step. While nearing completion, it still requires an engine, specifically a 25 hp Briggs & Stratton motor, and some instrumentation.

Amidst my dedicated work on the airplane, life presented unexpected challenges. My older son suffered a severe accident, followed by my wife's cancer diagnosis. Over the course of three years of treatments and surgeries, she has triumphantly overcome cancer. Yet, further hurdles emerged; I was involved in a hit-and-run car accident while cycling home from work, leading to surgeries and a series of setbacks. After apparent recovery, fate struck again in February 2022 when a skiing accident resulted in extensive damage to my left leg, including a broken tibia, fibula, a compromised knee, and significant injuries to my left foot. Numerous surgeries, including the use of brackets, screws, and cadaver bones, were required to restore functionality to my left side, showcasing the marvels of modern medical expertise.

In the midst of contemplating life's meaning, I've reached a decision to sell the MC-30 project. Although an exceptional and unique aircraft – the only one of its kind in the Americas – it's time for me to let it go. You can learn more about it here:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colomban_MC-30_Luciole and here www.wildbergair.com/photos/airports/Austria/ZZZZ/ROSTOCK/20180407_Rostock/20180407_VRG.htm

Furthermore, given my ownership of three gliders, I've chosen to sell my SZD 48-3 Jantar Standard 3 and SZD 56-1 Diana. The Jantar will be available in about a month, awaiting the return of its transceiver from service, as well as the ASI from Winter. Housed in a Cobra trailer, I'm also awaiting gas struts that are currently unavailable. Once these parts are obtained, the glider will be ready to serve another pilot for the next few decades.

My Diana glider will be available for sale around late October or November. However, I need to transfer it from my homemade trailer to a factory trailer, requiring me to rework the wing attachments.

This decision is not a sign of quitting; rather, I'm aiming to focus on my own flying experiences and cherish moments with my family. I won't be engaged in tasks such as aircraft maintenance, rigging, or parachute repacking, flying skydivers, glider towing or flying VIP’s. This transition marks a "me" moment in my life.

If you're interested in purchasing any of my aircraft, please feel free to contact me directly.

Best Regards,

Jacek

Jacek,
Boy, you’ve had a lot happen since our trip to Hawaii and Dillingham. That project of yours sure looks like a fun plane.  Currently I have three planes and am at my limit! Cessna 172, Christin Eagle and the ASH-31 Mi.  Also…the winch. I think we are max’d out!
I hope you are otherwise doing okay.  My gathering at the Methow airport worked well. It’s the 5th year I’ve done this. 32 pilots attended with 3 tow planes and 7 self-launchers. I have the SGC now on board as the sponsor which covers insurance and this brings in cash profit to SGC and two of the west-side clubs (their tow planes). I do it every 3rd week in June. So far it fills every year. Best soaring site in the NW.
Take care. Fond memories of our trip together.
Brad
