We are in need of one or two more tow pilots during this year’s Ephrata XC Academy June 28 through July 5. Mandatory orientation is Sunday, June 28, then six days of tows, June 29 through July 4, with post-academy departure on Sunday, July 5. As of now, John Howell is the only tow pilot signed up.

If you can attend to tow, please let me know by email or give me a call, and then be sure to register here. We will provide meals for you all week, and we can make a bunk available downstairs if you wish.

And more generally, this XC academy is open to adults as well as juniors. Although there is no registration cost for adults, this requires much more structure than other events, much like a contest week, and you can help contribute to an orderly and efficient academy by respecting two simple requirements:

  • You must register before the deadline in order to get any tows at Ephrata that week.
  • We expect adult attendees to participate in onsite meals that are an integral part of this holistic soaring week. Meals are provided at no formal charge, although you are welcome to make a voluntary donation onsite if you wish.

Please follow the registration link above for all relevant information.

Thanks!

Hello, all!

We are still in need of at least one more tow pilot for the XC Academy at Ephrata June 28 through July 5. John Howell is signed up to tow, but he cannot alone carry the weight of towing for an entire week. Registration for tow pilots is here, but please call or email me if you can attend so that I can get back to planning the menu & seminars and working with mentor pilots. As with all adult attendees, we are providing meals at no charge.

Thanks!
