We are one week away from Dust Up, so it is time to get everyone level set on the event as best as I can.

The event is fully booked and there is a wait list. So far 35 individuals have signed up. The expected glider fleet totals 21 single seat gliders, 7 two place, and 5 self launchers. Of those ships, 17 single place and 2 two place ships are privately owned. Evergreen will bring a L23, L33, DG300, DG1000 and a G103. Willamette will bring a G-103. I have not heard from PSSA.

Bucks in the Learning Center:

These are reserved for tow pilots, volunteers, instructors and mentors. So far I have 8 of the 10 bunks full from 24 through the morning of 27 May. After that, I estimate that five bunks will be free.

Teams:

On your registration there was a question asking how you plan to volunteer/contribute to the event. From those responses we have separated you into one of three teams: Launching, Facility Clean Up, and Meals, Dinner, etc. Brian Hart is organizing these teams and he should be reaching out to you regarding them, if he hasn't done so already.

Meals:

Brian will be cooking breakfast for the tow pilots. At some point, there will be a donation dinner, otherwise, you are on your own.

Schedule and Events:

At 9:00 on Saturday, 25 May, there will be a safety briefing and orientation in the Terminal Building. Michael Bamburg is coordinating lectures that will be given in during the event.

Tow Planes:

We plan to have three tow planes during the event. That will drop to two on 27 May. Tow fees will be the same regardless of which tow plane is used.

Towing Before and After the Event:

I see that we have towing available before and after the event. Please feel free to sign up and fly as much as you want. There will be a tow pilot available almost everyday starting now until Methow and then two weeks after that.

I hope you all have fun at this event and hope to see you all there.

Hi Tony,

Thank you for organizing the event and for everyone for the effort to make it happen again!

Have anybody ordered porta potties?
If not yet, please come up with the end date (end of junior event?). It should be ordered from Basin Septic. I can help with that if needed, let me know.

Thank you,

Rita
