Between the AGM (April 3 at the CopShop) and the Winter Seminar (April
10 at St.James Church), prepping the boat, doing work on the house and
the new baby, teh spring calendar is filling fast.

Does anyone have launch dates set yet that I should be adding to my
calendar, or anything? I haven't decided on where I am launching yet,
adn the decision will probably be dependant on a lot of dominoes
getting lined up to all fall together.

Good morning Chris,
Yes, spring is around the corner. I am working on the design and installation of a bowsprit to accomodate anchor rollers out front. We learned during last year's cruise that raising anchor off the side of the bow is too much work and damages the hull.
We have our town slip again and we too look forward to be part of the group launch again this spring. Count us in.
By the way, what with everything else on your plate, how about an article for Dock Lines?
Wishing you favourable winds,
Hessel

Hi Chris,
Yes, I did get your last email - sorry, I've been under the weather a bit lately. I will include that contact information in your submission, thanks.

This afternoon we go to the Rigging Shoppe. Though Georgian Bay was my backyard for many years, we go to attend the two hour seminar on cruising the Georgian Bay. For nostalgia, I suppose. Perhaps there are some additional ideas for good anchorages.

Also, I am doing a presentation (with the help of Roy Ham) on LEDs at 7:30 PM on Tuesday April 12 at the York Region Police Station meeting room on the Baseline, as part of our regular monthly Naturalists' club meeting.
Not only will we deal with regular household applications, but 12V technology as well, and, of course, especially for boats.
We will have some samples donated for demonstration, to be given away in a draw at the end.
It would be great if you could attend as one of our guests, and pass on the word to other interested people.

Thanks,
Hessel
