That's an ambitious race schedule... I like it. Can someone explain the distance races? What would the typical course look like? How long would a race take (yeah I know, depends on the wind).

In addition to wanting to know what is planned for the distance races, I'd like to know if these will count in the club championship. It appears that way in the schedule.

The new long distance races for next years schedule are part of the club championship.

The actual courses used can and will vary including the basic Fox Island and back route.  We will also try other courses depending on weather conditions.  These are long distance races with standard start sequences just like our typical triangle races. These races are not pursuit style. We will have starts and finishes as close to the harbour as possible for obvious reasons.

Best regards,

Jeff Reid

Sounds good, looking forward to it. It sounds like 2-3 hour races depending on winds. Looks like we'll be taking our own times at the back of the pack, lol.
