Hi,
 
    anyone knew about this. I receive  a call who claim to got my name from some contest I enter at some shopping centre. Then she will say I was one of the chosen one to get free gifts which is a watch plus two other things and some vouchers. But since I am there, they will like me to listen to a talk. I don't need to buy anything pay anything, just listen and if friends like to go on tour I can introduce it to them and so on.
 
        Shall I greed on that watch and so on and just go since no lost. But odd they stress that they had to give me the gift. I explain last time it happened and she ask many times did I got the gift that was promised to me. it makes me wonder. what's the catch. anyone any ideas?

I had a call yesterday about the same free gifts offer, via lucky draw.
I ask her which lucky draw and she could not tell me, as I think she is
those
caller who has been given a list to call. It probably has a $1 free watch
gift
and some voucher to buy other price products. The idea is to get
people to attend some seminar investments,etc. Try to con
people to join such schemes. What you will be wasting is your time
unless you have nothing better to do. Who will give anybody gifts and
free money ? Those who believe that are real idiots and deserve
to be conned.

Mostly time share programs. Next time you receive such a call, tell them
they can keep the free gift themselves.

thanks but the fact is i ever went to such and they did gave me a watch
which is too big anyway, but i did get it. and they very eager to know that
i did get it which i don't understand why . as if there is soething in the
watch they need to get rid of. i confused

This is a marketing strategy plan started by many Holiday Marketing Companies.
 
They want to sell you a random oversea property/bungalow for 2-4 person & stay-in for (let-say) only 2 days in a year. You can also choose/exchange the property of stay with other country members who also have similiar property standard by arrange-book-in-advance every year. Will save in your annual tour fees & regulate a prompt yearly oversea tour.
 
Initially, they will use long hours discussion with you like old friends conversation. Drinks are provided & ensure that you understand what is going on.
End of the talk, if you do not wish to buy. They will use ways to either humilate you, make you "Feel Guilty"/"Look Stupid" for not buying their product just by wasting time & trying to cheat (their gifts)=(your winning prices).
 
The Gifts is actually cheapo items & vouchers are actually "Advertisement Vouchers" issued by small company like e.g. giving away "Free 10 rolls of Film" by photo developers etc which is not actually free, you pay a higher photo-developing fee .
 
Afterall, It is only our couriousity to find out what is going on there, either to buy their idea or exchange for an unworthy guilt feeling if we did not buy in the end.
 
It may be a money cheating organisation. At least, buyer should have the opportunity to inspect the property before purchase & which is not offered here, just only a "blind & open trading". Singapore is an open & free market. Remember, there will be no law organisation to back your purchase if anything goes wrong internationally. These companies can just declare unknown capital loss & later sell away the company just like what happened to the Fort Canning Country Club. We looked rich enough & welcomed foreigners to cheat our money.

It is very stupid to spend $60,000 for this type of purchase... if hv the money, rather invest in a bmw at least u get to "own" it for a few months or so and u get to drive it everyday during that period...

Look, I had a friend who knows this is a scam. But he wanted the free 2 nights stay voucher at Genting. So, he attended the talk he was very sure he is not going to buy anything from them. Turns out they humilated him and he got his free voucher to genting. These ppl are real dumb!
 
My advise, go with a positive mind, nothing is free, at least you've to spent time listening to their bullshit, times up get the free stuffs and vamoose. Don't let them get the best out of you or make you the dumber instead.

Good one. The last time some idiot stopped me on Orchard Road
and tried to convince me how great all those "free" holidays
were, I told them that I am already flying for free and staying
in nice 5 star hotels for free as part of my job ( which is
true ). She was speechless.

That Genting Case is not popular around.....
 
Its is the way the holiday company call people for many hours sit there & listen then freebies very small & some more show like dont like to give things. Make you feel shy for not buying after long hours talk. But one thing true, they do give out the stocks like 78-120 watches/day.
