THIS SATURDAY: Spring Hike and Weekend Brunch (9 am - 12 pm)

Dear Members,

We've had an unusual turn of weather in the Bay. No floods, but the rains seemed to come in later than usual.

Let's hope we get a nice breezy day this Saturday for our annual hike at St Joseph's Open Preserve. It's the same venue as last year's, but in the interest of saving some gas, instead of driving to the hiking spot, then to the brunch spot, let's meet in downtown Los Gatos and hike via a different route to the Preserve, then hike back to the brunch spot.

GET READY
May 12, Saturday
Meeting time: 9 AM at trailhead (We will start hiking at 9.15 AM)
Estimated hiking time: 1.5 hrs
Distance and difficulty: Easy - Moderate (a moderate initial climb of 15mins)

We will meet outside California Cafe. There used to be a BORDERS store, which has since closed.

BE PREPARED
Comfortable hiking clothes and shoes, hat/cap, sunblock, drinking water, snacks (if desired)
