Dear 5th grade families,
I am happy to help facilitate Rose Ceremony gathering for the 8th and 12th grade families on Friday morning. I will need a few more people to help assist me, as I have a four year with me. Please contact me if you are willing to help set up, break down and host the event on Friday morning. More details to come soon.... I have still yet to connect with Carol, although left message. I believe this event is similar to the lily Ceremony in the beginning of the year when we have hosted light foods and beverages for 1st grade families, near the bridge by the walkway. Please if every family can bring something to eat or drink, such as muffins, watermelon, fruit, etc. it will help us put on a lovely gathering for the families who are moving on to high school and college. Please email me what you plan on bringing so we can know exactly what is coming. If you cannot help with the event, the food is greatly appreciated!!! Thank you so much for all your participation and ability to support our families who are moving on.
Warmly,
Jill
Dear Fifth Grade Parents,
I am happy to share with each of you that myself and Akasha will be representing the uprising 6th grade class on the parent council next school year. As many of you already know, the parent council serves as a communication link between parents, the administration and the board members, as well as a work force team. The meetings are held monthly and are open to all. If you have any ideas or questions we will do our best to represent them and inquire about any information you may have about a subject. Please feel free to connect with myself or Akasha directly. In the weekly school newsletters there is a link with the monthly parent council meeting notes as to all the work the parent council has done so far, and is currently doing, as well as their mission statement. We will do our best to inform everyone as to the changes that are taking place as well as reach out for support if and when it arrises. All ideas are welcome and we look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you,
Jill Gerichter
Hello again,
Thanks to Maraka and Cynthia for organizing the Rose Ceremony Event. Forgive the confusion... I just talked with Maraka and they are busy working out details and will send a food list and what will be needed from the fifth grade class for Friday. Thanks to everyone's quick responses. I will be there to assist and they will be the contact people.
Thanks again ladies!!!
See you all Friday!
Jill
Hi! I got flowers covered. Working on food list. Some of you have already talked to Cynthia about what you can bring. I have it down. Working on email of food list here soon. So far we have muffins and bread that's getting covered well but still need other items. I'm doing a quiche/casserole and Cynthia has cheese and crackers and lemonade. Cynthia and I will be there for set up. I will be there throughout. I'm going to be there about 745 ish to start brewing coffee in Hooper hall I will put out 3 containers of coffee and one for hot water. Carole will have the tables set up already. I have the table cloths as they were dirty and needed to be washed. I got some runners to put on top of them and will bring flowers. So those who want to help in morning can maybe come 8 or 815? Should be fairly easy. If we need more space for food or weather is weird I can put stuff in library as Sally and I have it closed due to inventory this week. I'll meet with Carole again Thursday for last minute details but that's what I have for now. Hope that helps. Mar
