Hello Families of Santa Fe Waldorf 5th Graders,
And just like that, we’re approaching the end another terrific Story Gathering season.
Thank you for reading the scheduling notes below.
4/28/12 AM Grandparents Day: 10 - 11:30 AM.
Lifesongs will be a part of the 5th grade Grandparents morning in Peter’s classroom. We look forward to introducing and involving your child’s grandparent to the Story Gathering process.
4/28/12 PM Culminating Event: 6:30 PM - 8:15 PM.
Location was changed from the High School to Santa Fe Care Center, 635 Harkle Road. http://www.santafenursing.com/map-to-location/ It can be a bit tricky to find, as it’s behind the Residence Inn off of Galisteo - and requires a right turn as you are traveling South on Galisteo away from downtown. If you access Galisteo heading North, you’ll need to do a u-turn in the Residence Inn lot. Please car pool if possible as parking will be tricky and the lot will likely be full - there are side lots on the right and left of the main entrance. Please arrive by 6:30 PM and we will do our best to wrap up by 8:15PM and guarantee a firm end by 8:30PM (depending on the length of the individual group presentations). Students and volunteers will greet you upon arrival and lead you to the outdoor courtyard beyond the dining room where we will eat a pizza and salad dinner and mingle with one another and our Lifesongs elders. Once the other residents have finished their dinner in the dining room, we will set it up and move in to enjoy the pods’ reflections of their experience together this season. Thank you (humbly as it’s short notice) for bringing a desert to share.
Lensic Concert - Schedule below. Please purchase your tickets by calling 505-988-1234 or at www.ticketsantafe.org We invite you to upgrade from the standard ticket price of $10 to $100 and become a supporter of Lifesongs and help pay it forward and sustain the Story Gathering program at the Santa Fe Waldorf School. The children will be seated together in the balcony and do not need tickets (chaperones needed - see below).
Friday May 6 - Evening Rehearsal for Concert at Lensic - drop off and pick up at main doors - Parent chaperone(s) needed. Please sign for shifts at the Story Gathering event or with Peter.
5:00 CALL TIME FOR LUCA & ENO
6:30 CALL TIME FOR WALDORF STUDENTS
8:30 End of Rehearsal
Saturday May 7 – 4:00 PM - 8:30 PM Concert Dress Rehearsal and Performance - at Lensic - drop off and pick up at main doors - Parent chaperone(s) needed during rehearsal, dinner and to sit with the students in the balcony during the concert. Please sign up for shifts at the Story Gathering event or with Peter. The elders dress in their finest, so please have your children dressed in theirs.
4:00 PM CALL FOR WALDORF STUDENTS
5:30-6:30 PM dinner break for all artists and partial crew (food provided)
6:30 PM Lensic Opens to Concert attendees
7:00-8:30 PM Performance
