MLK Storage Unit

Hello Everyone,

Happy to announce we have been having great attendance lately at MLK Wednesday practice. Over 20+ people attended yesterday's practice! Woohoo!! 

However, when you look at the state of the storage room, it does not look good. We have spare gear for people to borrow when they forget their own gear or when we have new comers. Experienced players are encouraged to have their own gear. 

If you do happen to borrow any gear from the storage unit, please keep it back where you picked it up from. It is not that hard to keep the fin rack organized. 

I spent some time yesterday organizing the storage and would really appreciate your help in keeping it this way! This only helps you guys to find what you are looking for easily!! 

If you are unable to find what you need, instead of rummaging through the storage, please ask a fellow player or one of the club officers to help you out!! 

For coaches at kids practice - Please ask the kids to keep the gear back where they took it from.

Hey, ... just came back from the kids practice, ... the loaner gear is seriously depleted - absolutely no gloves , especially not for kids, ... we had 3 new kids and had to scramble for the gear. Maybe, that is the way it should be so keep the kids program slim and healthy, but I feel this might lead to kids malnutrition. 

We really need to step up and have adult players to donate their unsused or older tattered gear. We rely on that until Rhett & co. secures the new gear.

Hi All,

Over the next month, we will receive brand new and high quality equipment for our youth SF players.  It will include everything one needs for 25 youth players, including fins, sticks, gloves, pucks, head gear, etc.  The sizes will be appropriate for kids 10-18 years old and cover both left and right handed players.  

While a small number of items arrived, most of the equipment has not, and it is expected to arrive from New Zealand over the next ~6 weeks.  The manufacturer is working hard on it, but we just need to be patient.  

The equipment is being generously paid for by Atlantis Sports for the exclusive use by our youth players. Meaning, it is not meant for adults.  Thank you for understanding. We will need to develop a better system for storing the adult and youth equipment at MLK pool while keeping them apart.

Thank you Jakub, David and Oren for your responses!

I understand our gear is not top notch. If someone wants to help me inventory what we have + what can be discarded, that would be great!!

Thank you Atlantis sport and all who contributed towards getting new gear for the kids! Oren, do you have a suggestion how we can keep it separate/locked, so it can’t be used by the anyone else?
