SFUWH 2024 voting and meeting

My fellow Sea Lions, we need you to keep this club alive and thriving. Please let me know:

+ if you can be an officer of the club in 2024 so I can list you on the ballot. No experience needed. Keep us going to the best of your ability. Cy and I won't be officially involved but will be available to answer questions. Mansi is in to continue as an officer, thank you!

+ when you are available for the annual meeting between Jan 17 and Jan 31. Please fill out the poll or send me a message.

 

In a few weeks I'll pick a meeting time and make ballots for the steering committee and anything else up for a membership vote. The vote will be conducted electronically and end before the membership meeting. To vote you need to have paid your dues to USOA for 2023 and/or 2024 with the Sea Lions listed as your UWH club. Register for 2024 at https://www.underwater-society.org/page/show/4284471-usoa-registration. Eligible voters are listed below.

Update for everyone not reading the main SFUWH email list:

If you are a registered (with USOA) and paid up (per https://www.sfuwh.org/club/balance) club member you'll get a ballot from opavote.com. If you can't find yours please let me know.

We're having our annual membership meeting on Wed Jan 24 immediately after practice (about 8:30pm) at 1514 Hudson Ave (about a mile a north of the pool). At the meeting we'll count the ballots, discuss what happened in 2023, our current challenges and welcome the new steering committee. If you have a topic you'd like to discuss as a club, such as funding of the youth program, please attend. The city is closing MLK Jan 23 - Feb 6 so we're cancelling:

- adult hockey Wed Jan 24 and 31

- youth hockey Fri Jan 26 and Feb 2.

With no hockey next week we can start our membership meeting earlier. Any objections to Wed Jan 24, 7pm at 1514 Hudson Ave?
