The first will be the Halloween show at the Myrtles, currently
scheduled to run the Friday at Saturday nights before Halloween, the 27
and 28 of October. There will be a rehearsal the night before and
likely a build the day before that. Call time will on Thursday, Friday
and Saturday will probably be 5:00, show starts at 6:00 and runs
continuously until the last tour starts at midnight. We'll probably be
out by 1:00 am each night. The show is a tour of the house with a lot
of theatrical elements thrown it. It will be hard work and long hours,
but it will be paid. I am doing my best to get everyone $6/hour. Not
much, but better than we've had before. As soon as we get the script
written I will be preparing a final presentation for the owners of the
Myrtles to review, complete with a budget and time demands. With any
luck the project will be approved with few changes.
Right now my estimation (and it's really only a guess) is that we'll
need about 10 actors/guides, 2 technicians, and one stage manager.
The week after halloween it's likely that we'll reprise the show on
Saturday Nov. 4 from 11am to 1pm for the Heritage in the Hills event.
This will probably be a situation that involves the actors
volunteering, but the company banking a few hundred dollars.

What do you think?

My schedule for this quarter is alarmingly easy (mostly 'cause I'm
retaking two classes to improve my GPA), so I can do techie stuff.
Techie stuff is fun. :)

Update:

I've passed the script off to Matthew. Adam has been incredibly busy
lately so he won't be able to do it like he hoped. Mattehw hopes to
have something put together over the weekend.
If anyone else would like to contribute, please post ideas here and
we'll try to work them in. I'm looking forward to putting together the
proposal over this weekend and hopefully getting the ball rolling on
approval.

Today I put together and sent of the script and the proposal. Matthew
did a great job on the script, it's going to be a lot of fun to put on.
A lot of work, but fun. I quoted them a price of $3000, and they have
the potential to make $9000+ off this, so it seems likely we'll get the
gig. Glenn (the manager) liked it, but it's up to the Owners. I hope to
hear from them soon.
I'll keep in touch.
If you'd like to read the current draft of the script, please post here
and I'll e-mail it to you.

On anouther note I leave for Ruston on Wednesday, so if you think of
anything else that needs doin' in St. Franny, let me know now.

Au Revoir!

The Mosses (owners of the Myrtles) want us to try to take 45 people
into the house every 15 minutes. Frankly I think those groups will be
far too large, but we're going to have to devise a way to make it work.

If you would like to see I have make the Script and the proposal I
submitted available:
