The Wright Institute’s Master’s in Counseling Psychology Program is currently inviting applications for both full-time and part-time faculty positions, with appointments beginning in Fall 2025. These roles offer a meaningful opportunity to join a mission-driven program grounded in social justice, diversity, and evidence-based clinical training.


Full-Time Faculty Position

Full-Time Core Faculty play a central leadership role within the program, contributing through teaching, advising, curriculum development, faculty mentorship, and participation in governance. This is a dynamic opportunity for educators who are passionate about supporting students and helping shape the culture and direction of the program.

  • Location: On campus (Berkeley, CA)
  • Qualifications: Doctorate in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, MFT, or related field; licensed in California
  • Teaching Load: Minimum 18 units/year
  • Compensation: $89,874 – $154,987 + 15% fringe benefit

Part-Time Faculty Position

Part-Time Core Faculty are integral to our academic community, supporting the program through teaching, student advising, and committee participation. These positions are well-suited for clinicians and educators seeking meaningful engagement with students and curriculum, while maintaining other professional commitments.

  • Location: On campus (Berkeley, CA)
  • Qualifications: Doctorate or Master's degree in relevant field; licensed in California (LMFT, LPCC, LCSW, etc.)
  • Teaching Load: 9–15 units/year
  • Compensation: $2,700 per unit taught with base salary from $35,100+ depending on workload.
