Hi Beloveds!

You are all always always invited to the
Dana Cafe, a monthly gathering in Oakland CA offering transformational teachings at no cost to participants. Each month on first Sunday, we invite a different teacher from various arts and healing traditions. Our monthly classes are offered for Dana (give as you are able and inspired) and there is no set fee to attend.

This month we are so honored to welcome healer, dancer, movement therapist, performer and cultural activist extraordinaire Tania Llambelis! Tania will be guiding us as we work with trauma in the body.

The intention of this workshop is to release the pain, discomfort, fear and other emotions related to trauma that is recorded in our muscle memory. Through the use of Authentic Movement practices, Experiential Anatomy and elements of Caribbean Espiritismo (a form of ancestor work), we will shift to a new space within ourselves of greater aliveness. We will evoke our Spirit Guides to support this process, thus creating a multidimensional healing space.

Tania Llambelis is a Nuyorican who has lived in Northern California for the past twenty-one years. She is a spoken word artist, performer, producer, director, improviser, cultural activist and ritualist. She studied Dance at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut, where she received her B.A. and her M.A. in Drama from San Francisco State University. In 1998, she received certification in Massage Therapy and in 2000, she became certified as a Somatic Movement Therapist. She is a fourth generation Espiritista. Ms. Llambelis is a co-founder of Oakland Improv Collective, a group dedicated to performing in non-traditional spaces.
