Hey all,

I am looking for a good bike fitter in the area surrounding and including Mountain View / Sunnyvale. I'm hoping to find someone who understands the needs of long distance cycling events like randonneuring. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks
Stephen

Stephen,

I have been a customer and friend of Mike and Steve Jacoubowsky at Chain Reaction Bicycles in Redwood City since around 1981.
Mike helped me with a pro bike fit in the mid-1980s and helped Linda resolve some fit issues around 1990.

As a former racer and a successful TREK dealer for decades, I think Mike and his crew would be able to help you.

Curtis Cramblett, the owner oif Revolutions in Fitness, is very good. He has offices in Palo Alto and San Jose:

Palo Alto studio:

Palo Alto, CA 94306
Please call or email for San Jose address.

I hope these leads help. My best-ever bike fit was from Ted Ernst in Manhattan Beach, CA, in 2015. Ted is long-since retired and
in his 80s: I do not know if he is still available for fittings but he was amazing…

Hi Stephen - I go to Craig Upton at Performance labs in Mill Valley. He’s great! A little far but might be worth the trip.

Thanks, It might be a little far of a commute for me but I'll consider them.

Tony Tom at Bicycle Odyssey in Sausalito does an excellent job, he’s been doing it for 30 yrs - old school, and knows where riders need to be for riding style & purpose.

Hi Stephen,
I whole heartedly recommend Curtis Cramblett @ Revolutions in Fitness. He works in Palo Alto & San Jose. He’s a PT and just excellent. He’s fitted both my Sevens & I will not go to anyone else. Don’t get a fit with any of their other people. He’s worth the price but the others are not.
Good luck!
Tina
