Hi All,

I will be in Denver in June and would like to ride to Vail (and then back either that day or the following day). I understand that there is now an “official” route that will take you. Has anyone ridden it? Any suggestions other than the “official” route? I could use the Triple Bypass route but I would have to ride to Evergreen.

Thanks!

Bill

I’ve ridden the Triple Bypass Route a bunch, but you could ride out to Golden, then up Lookout Mtn dropping you close to 1-70 & the frontage road, which goes through Idaho Spr. The frontage road winds back & forth heading up to Eisenhower Tunnel & Loveland Ski Area. One small section is on 1-70. Then up and over Loveland Pass, to Copper Mtn & over Vail pass to Vail via the bike trail.
Should be fun.

I did a 300k -Denver Aspen -many years ago. This is easier but still, lots of climbing!
Enjoy!
