Hi all,

Of course SFR and the other Bay Area groups have a fantastic slate of calendared events, but if you're looking to earn more randobux there are also permanents!

Santa Rosa Randos HBUH (Healdsburg Boonville Ukiah) 200k now available as a perm, and the SonoMendo Coast 300k has been reactivated. If you missed these as a calendared event, you can ride for credit at your convenience.

Some populaire length from Santa Rosa (most start near the downtown SMART station):

And populaire length from the Petaluma downtown SMART station to either Pierce Point or Point Reyes Lighthouse.

Enjoy!

Thanks to Megan! I recently reactivated "Trinity is My Name", a 200k based on the first half of the Terrible Two Double Century. I recommend waiting for cooler weather before riding. I've done it only once, but it's a nice route.

The partner ride to "Trinity" is "It's Terrible Too" which is on the inactive list and needs to be reactivated at RUSA. I recommend this one too, once the weather cools off. I plan to ask Crista at RUSA if I can go ahead and re-up it.

Hi all,

Of course SFR and the other Bay Area groups have a fantastic slate of calendared events, but if you're looking to earn more randobux on some possibly new to you roads there are also permanents!

Reactivated remote, beautiful and super climby challenging:
Ukiah - Mendocino - Ukiah: 200k, Starts in Ukiah, taking Orr Springs Rd to Mendocino, then down the coast to Manchester, before turning back inland on Mountain View Rd to Boonville, then Boonville-Ukiah Rd back to Ukiah. Yes! The Adventure Series Orr Springs 600k Orr Springs Road! Ride it for randobux without having to do a 600k, potentially see the entire road in daylight!

OK, not Bay Area, but on the theme of remote, beautiful, super climby challenging PLUS 60% dirt/gravel/unpaved (whatever you want to call it) - Graniteville 100k, by Eric (Walstad) - A very challenging and remote route through the Sierra Nevada gold country, passing through Malakoff Diggins SP, the little town of Washington, and Graniteville. Bring lots of water and consider bringing a water filter as there are many year-round creeks along the route. Might still be a little snowy/muddy to ride at the moment, but maybe put it on your radar for later in the year?

Populaire length from Santa Rosa (start near downtown SMART station)
Santa Rosa - Willow Creek: Includes 7km unpaved on the Sonoma County OG mixed terrain goodness of Willow Creek Road. Willow Creek is on the Old Caz 300k and King Ridge 400k, so if you're Adventure Curious, here's a chance for some randobux on an Adventure-ito (Adventurette? Mini-Adventure? Petit Adventure? Adventure Lite?)
Santa Rosa - Ida Clayton: Classic Sonoma County back road climb up the northwest shoulder of Mount St. Helena. Unlike the Orr Springs 600k, where you only get to descend Ida Clayton, on this route you get to both CLIMB and descend! Good times!!!
Waves to Wine, Jr.: Sampler combining popular routes in western Sonoma County. Across the Santa Rosa plain and up to the Occidental redwoods, out to the coast on Coleman Valley Road, back along the Russian River and return through vineyards on the Santa Rosa plain.

200k!
Waves to Wine: Extends the Jr. loop up through Healdsburg to Cloverdale and back through Geyserville.

And previously permified/reactivated/created:

Santa Rosa Randos routes:
HBUH (Healdsburg Boonville Ukiah) 200k: Also affectionately known as HBUH (pronounced hubba). Beautiful and challenging route north from Healdsburg into Mendocino County. Includes the incomparable Mountain House Road.
SonoMendo Coast 300k: Glorious loop through Anderson Valley and the CA coast in Sonoma and Mendocino Counties.

Populaire length from Santa Rosa (most start near the downtown SMART station):
Santa Rosa - Lake Sonoma: Loop from Santa Rosa to Lake Sonoma Visitor Center including local favorites the Dry Creek Valley and Chalk Hill Road.
Santa Rosa - San Rafael: Point to point route between Santa Rosa and San Rafael, through west Sonoma and Marin Counties.
Santa Rosa North - Geyserville North: Lollypop from north Santa Rosa on local favorite Chalk Hill Road and through lightly rolling wine country around Geyserville and Healdsburg.
Santa Rosa To-males: Loop through west Sonoma and Marin counties. Passes through the towns of Occidental, Valley Ford, Tomales and Sebastopol.
Santa Rosa - Sonoma Coast: Scenic west Sonoma County route from Santa Rosa up through the Occidental redwoods, down to the Russian River, out to the Sonoma Coast, and back through Bodega - one of the locations where Hitchcock filmed "The Birds."

Populaire length from the Petaluma downtown SMART station (brevet destinations minus the southern Marin filler (not that there's anything wrong with that... :))
Pierce Point: Out and back from Petaluma to Pierce Point Ranch, in the northern part of Point Reyes National Seashore
Point Reyes Lighthouse: Out and back from Petaluma to the Point Reyes Lighthouse Visitor Center

Enjoy!

- Megan
