Our good friend recently passed. He will be remembered for his generosity and eternal friendship. He always had a smile and could joke about anything even on a 300k brevet or through a cold and wet slog.

This is a FB post from his sister, Christina Tolosa Pack:

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, James Tolosa, who departed this world on Friday, May 3, due to a a major stroke at the age of 54. James was a cherished member of our family, a devoted friend, and a pillar of his community.

James was known for his boundless love for cats, his passion for cycling, and his unwavering support for the Lakers. His vibrant spirit and generous nature brought joy to everyone he encountered. A dedicated professional in the cybersecurity industry, James was admired for his hard work and commitment to excellence.

Born in Brunswick, GA and raised in Oxnard, CA James built a wide array of meaningful connections throughout his life, particularly in the Bay Area where he forged deep connections within his cycling community.

While we grieve the loss of James, we find solace in knowing that his legacy of generosity will continue through his decision to be an organ donor. His selflessness will live on, offering hope and renewed life to others.

Details regarding James' funeral and celebration of life will be shared soon. In the meantime, let us honor his memory by embracing the joy and kindness he brought into our lives.

Rest in peace, James. You will be deeply missed but your love and generosity will remain in our hearts forever.
