NTP-Nelson Titanium Products, if he is still doing work. Should be
able to help. Google NTP bikes. Last time I interacted with him his
shop was in the Bayview neighborhood in San Francisco.
Dan Nelson is the person.
I had a Teledyne Titan where someone drilled holds in the top tube
to allow cable stops to be installed (mechanically, screwed into the
holes). Dan patched those also holes and fixed a crack seat
binder. In a separate job I had a Russian Made Titanium frame where
the chain stay started to crack longitudinally. Dan ran a bead of
Ti along the crack fixing it and the bike has been ridden trouble
free for several thousand miles, post repair.
Not only does he build but he is a enthusiastic rider. He passed me
years ago while we were both doing the Devil Mountain Double
Century.
Dan rides, builds and repairs road and mountain bikes. I've only
seen him riding bikes he's made for himself. Always titanium. He
is an honest, hard working person. He tries to work quickly and
commits to a particular day to complete the project. It's been a
while since I last interacted with him so not sure if he is sill
working. Good luck.

Hi folks, I am fixing up a lovely old mountain bike
and hoping to discuss the possibility of drilling two
holes in its titanium frame for dropper post routing.
Are there any framebuilders in or near the east bay
who specifically work in titanium? I've explored it
with Erik Billings but hoping for some others as
well.
Thanks,
French Clements
