Humboldt Randonneurs is pleased to announce approval of the new routes:
Forks of Salmon 200,
Forks of Salmon 300 and
Forks of Salmon 400 which offer some of California's most spectacular, remote wilderness riding through the Klamath Mountains and the wild Salmon River. Although 100% paved, these highly technical narrow one lane mountain roads will be challenging for the most experienced randonneur with over 4,300m (14,000 ft) of elevation gain in the first 200 km! (note that the 200K version ends at the summit allowing the rider to use the full 13.5 hours and descend to Etna via Sawyers Bar rd. without time pressure). Visit
www.humboldtrando.com for more info and registration.
These routes will be offered as ACP brevets simultaneously on June 18th, 2022 (which unfortunately conflicts with Marin Mountains but does offer a fully paved event that weekend).
