Hey, I’m looking for a 650 B wheel set with sealed hubs in or around San Francisco with a budget of around $300. Regular 100/130 spacing and rim brake compatible. Color is not important

Thanks
Kyle

650C is quite a bit smaller than 650B (571mm vs 584mm), the brake pads probably won't reach on a 650B frame.

Haha. I suppose it would be easiest if i were looking for a 650 (penninsula) wheelset :)

French rim/tire sizing is a bit cursed, but Sheldon is here to help:

Actually, revisiting that page, most traditional tire sizing systems are a bit cursed, not just French. (Why isn’t “26 x 1 3/8” the same as “26 x 1.375”? Why can “24 x 1 1/8” be either of two incompatible sizes??) ISO sizing helps a lot (584 mm is 584 mm) but I think we should all switch to a nice round 1000 mm diameter rim and leave it at that ;)

All of which is to say, a gentle plea: if you’re buying or selling rims or tires, please include the ISO size alongside the traditional size. We can be the change.

Good luck finding a 584 mm wheelset, Kyle :)
