Rode my first ever "official" brevet yesterday and I couldn't have chosen a more perfect starter than the Old Caz 300K. Aside from the brutal headwinds to start the day, it was idyllic and really a perfectly curated route. Having trouble finding SFR routes to look forward to and am wondering how I can access past routes, especially the Lucas Valley Populaire, since from what I hear the Big Rock ride is an extension of that one. I'd like to look over old routes, just for fun, so if anybody has any tips, please let me know!

Hi Alex,

The same document where you found the link for the Old Caz route also has rows for all the events for this year, completed or upcoming:

Lucas Valley and Big Rock-Tocaloma populaire routes are there.

That document used to have a tab for 2024 but that seems to be missing now. I'll have to recall why that is gone.

Hi Alex,

The "2024" tab has been restored so you can see what events SFR ran last year: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LO6FfMJeMP_cvnEUtCfBvpmVudLNzWH-dRVv_PWqLqQ/edit?gid=0#gid=0

All best,

There's also the SFR route library accessible on RWGPS: https://ridewithgps.com/clubs/44-san-francisco-randonneurs/routes

Cheers,
Paul

The better source is the link that Drew posted. That source lists the most recent, current version of an SFR route, includes notes on the status of the file, includes the cue sheets for printing, and is organized. The ridewithgps route library can often include multiple versions of a route with little guidance on which one is 'current'.

Good to know. I wasn't sure about the status of the RWGPS route library, though it is convenient for browsing and searching.

Cheers,
Paul

There's also a cool Route Map View, where you can search spatially for routes that pass by a particular point. But yes, to know what's au courant, the spreadsheet is the source of truth.

This is probably a can-of-worms question, but can we/SFR get in touch with the route library owner to have it updated?
