SFR has accumulated quite a few of these now and they all end up in the gear returned to SFR HQ.

Anyone know where these can be recycled in the Richmond to North Oakland area?

Thanks,

Alas, I do not know a recycle location for these.

BUT (you may already know) Sports Basement has refillable 1 1b. containers and if you're a Basementeer, refills are free.

One or more somewhat recent volunteers did begin purchasing those refillable containers. So there's  a start.

However i still have half a dozen one use containers with various amounts of propane and another half dozen empties.

Not sure if helpful:
"Propane tanks that are 5 gallons or less in volume can be disposed of at all Alameda County Hazardous Waste facilities. "

The Hazardous Waste Recycling Facility in Richmond will also take them if they're under 5 gallons.  There used to be a program in the Bay Area to collect them from outdoor stores and recycle them but they lost their funding.
