Given the somewhat recent threads on bike access, west side railings, and high winds, you may wish to read this notice just published in the Golden Gate Gazette:

In particular:

The Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District has adopted several new measures...

Allowing all classes of e-bikes on Bridge sidewalks;
A 15 mph bicycle speed limit on Bridge sidewalks, reduced to 5 mph around the towers;
Additional signage and wayfinding on Bridge sidewalks and approaches;
Use of the east sidewalk for bicyclists during high wind events; and
Establishment of a Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee.
