Hello fellow San Francisco Randonneurs!
The end of the year is coming up and the weather is changing and we are all preparing for the holidays. Back in the day, SFR used to host its own holiday get together - along with a corresponding populaire, and maybe you find yourself wondering if there will be one this year.
I personally would love to see this tradition continue and have offered to step up to help organize it! I think it's really important to build our randonneuring community. I cherish the time I get to spend on the bike or at post-event picnics with other riders, but more often than not it is far too short. Hopefully getting together for a party like this will help everyone to have more time chatting with one another, and help me meet riders who are too fast for me to ride with :)
The current proposal is to meet at
Standard Deviant Brewing at Pier 70 on
Sunday, December 14th from
4-8pm. They have a wide selection of beers, an outdoor gated space where we can stash bikes, and will have a food truck serving food.
In order to gauge interest and ensure we are reserving enough space for everyone I have created an RSVP form which you can fill out if you plan to join:

Rob has also offered to schedule a DART Populaire if there is sufficient interest, so please indicate your interest on the RSVP if you would participate!
One final note, this is a 'unofficial' holiday party. That is, it is being organized by us rather than the club itself. But what is SFR if not the members - so I'm hoping you will all come out and support this community building effort with your full enthusiasm and holiday joviality!
