Rob.....there are a few of us on both e-mail chat lists.  I'll put out a request on the SRCC C-list and see who knows what.  I also know a couple of our SRCC members live up that way, so should have an answer to your question.  But even if Joy Road had new and perfect paving, it's difficult to find any joy in riding it, unless either in the down direction or a Honey Badger.....

I'm hoping to find out info on the status of Joy Road, which is rumored to have a slide on it. I can't find any mention of this on the Sonoma County road report, but thought someone with SRCC might know or be able to ask riders from that area.
