So far I've struck out in finding the rectangular aluminum tubing needed to repair the canopy with the SFR logo on it. This was broken years ago when someone was not doing the packing properly. Because these aluminum pieces fit into plastic sockets, the tubing needs to be a certain size: 3/4 inch X 1/2 inch, and about 57 inches long.

All online sources I can find just don't have anything that small.

Perhaps someone on this group knows of a local source for this tubing? Clearly it is made because these canopies are still being sold (this vendor doesn't seem to offer repair parts).

I'd rather not send this to recycling and/or landfill and I'd like it to justify the space it takes in my basement.

thanks

Hi Rob,

I'm checking with my friend who does his own fabrication to where he source his materials.  Perhaps he know of a online or locate place that may have what you need.  Also do u know the thickness of that tubing?

Rob,

You'd need to make sure your measurements are pretty accurate, but if it exists, you can buy it here: https://www.mcmaster.com/products/square-tubing/outside-width~3-4/inside-width~1-2-1/  (You can navigate up a step to see every rectangular tubing size they sell) . I don't see anything 57" on the dot, but you could always order a 6 foot piece and then cut to size.

Also i notice you said it has SFR logo which mean this was custom. i saw some printed custom canopy that their provider has parts.  perhaps if that canopy could be identified of the maker you could get direct parts. the worst would be to purchase a whole new frame and recycle the old.

E-zup was one i found that has their tent parts
