Hi folks,

My partner and I will be traveling with bikes soon and I'm looking for two medium-sized cardboard boxes, large enough to contain a bike (meaningfully disassembled: pedals, handlebars, seatpost removed, but frame and fork still connected) but small enough to work within the size constraints of some Japanese luggage shipping services. Max size would be length + height + depth < 260 cm (102 in) total, but if the total linear size is < 200 cm, that opens up more options (but might be hard to fit everything in there...).

I picked up a couple of bike boxes from a local shop but they seem to be from e-bikes and they're huge. I feel like the boxes that Canyon bikes come in (or other direct-to-consumer, some-assembly-required boxes) would be just about perfect. If you happen to have any such boxes you no longer need, I would gratefully take them off your hands.

Please let me know if you have anything that fits the bill! And happy riding to all.

Thanks,
 - Drew

Update: I have received very kind offers of at least three well-suited boxes, along with one helpful more general tip and one request for a report back of what worked/didn't work in Japan, so I am set on this front. Thanks all! Drew
