The Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy is approaching the final days of construction at the Golden Gate Bridge southeast end plaza as part of the visitor improvements for the 75th anniversary on May 27.
The Parks Conservancy does anticipate the current plaza detour to end later this week. This will be followed by all areas under improvement being opened by Wednesday, May 23, including the new and improved Bay Trail. As a result of the continuing construction by the Parks Conservancy, the west sidewalk of the Golden Gate Bridge will not reopen on May 18, but is now going to reopen on Wednesday, May 23.
We look forward to enjoying the new, safer trails with you once they are complete. If you have any questions, please call 415-561-3054.
