Hi all,

These are generally pretty pricey accessories, but they are very well made and for a short while if you buy one it will help local advocacy organizations. (Not sure if MBC, SABA and Bike Eastbay are on their list though). I just bought 3 of them and in checking the quality I can't really see why they were considered cosmetically flawed.

Just fyi in case you are looking for a really good bell that is very durable.

BE HELPFUL FOR HALLOWEEN

Frankenbells are known for powerful resonance and minor cosmetic imperfections. Now they have purpose too. We're donating 10% of all Frankenbell sales to non-profit organizations seen ghostbusting year-round. Safer streets, new bike lanes, stronger and more inclusive communities—a better experience for people who ride and more people riding bikes.

Every Spur Cycle bell I've purchased has been a franken bell.  Same as Rob, I've never noticed a cosmetic issue that was visible at all.
