Friends,

An encounter overwhelmed me so much that I can't help but sharing it with you!

I often receive phone calls looking for lawyers. I encounter all kinds of people. Some are pleasant, some are rude.  of course. I try to stay calm as much as I can, of course, as a human, my mood gets affected.

I pray to God for peace. My prayer was answered today. Here is what happened. A gentleman called me to tell me he was looking for a Chinese speaking lawyer for a Chinese family. He hoped I could help them because they don't speak English. He said he volunteered for Hospice. I asked him what Hospice was. He said it is a place where cancer patient spent the last days and his job was to be with the patient and the family.

He said all these in a monologue tone as if he were talking about whether, whereas I was left speechless. Can you imagine how hard it is to get paid to work in such place? Can you imagine he is volunteering?

Compare him with those who thought they are God only because they have a few more dollars than others, those who thought they are entitled to kill, to cheat, to corrupt, or to exploit as long as they can make a few bucks, he should be the ones we admire!!! HE IS AN ANGEL!!! I always despise those who trade everything including their dignity and body with money, my world is so much brighter because of this little tiny encounter!

I am sharing with you because I want you to know that their is light in our messy world!! After all, there are people we and our children can look up to!!

I am inspired and touched. You?

Linda

Linda,

Thanks for sharing and spreading the light!  Indeed when everyone becomes a bit more peaceful, the world will be much more peaceful because of the accumulation of compounding power. I would like to share a little experience two months ago I had. That morning I was in a rush trying to make the red light which was in amber at that moment but there was a pedestrian strolling across the street hesitating crossing over. I stopped my car and let him pass, he walked across and made a little stop right before my car and blew a gratitude kiss to me with a joyful smile with much peace. For some reason that moment has been flashed before me many times and reminding me how little effort it will take to make a joyful experience when we are helping others in turn helping ourselves. I am sure you have plenty of such experiences as well.

Doing good deeds regardless how small or big it is can make a difference that impacts our lives just like the caller has inspired Linda, me and many of others.

With gratitude
Lupei
