I am selling my car recently. I received quite a few inquiries. Yet some of them are very strange. They go like this: "Hi, I want to buy your car for my 85 years old father whose birthday is tomorrow. I want to give him a surprise. But because I am so busy, I can't come to your town to pick up your car. Can you...." " Hi, I want t to buy your car for my wife whose birthday is tomorrow. I want to give her a surprise..." "Hi, I know it is 9 pm now. I need to take off tomorrow. Can we meet? I have cash on me if you don't mind. " "Hi, I can't pay as much as you ask for. I have ... cash ."
These scams have a couple of things in common; they go right into price negotiation without asking to see the car for themselves and that they emailed me or texted me, as opposed to calling me even I left my cell phone number in my post.
Friends, economy is bad and more crazy people are out there! Watch out! I know many of us are Christians. We care and we love, yet we certainly don't want to be fooled neither, right.
So watch out if you are conducting transaction of some sorts.
Good luck!
Linda
