Hi All,

A buddy and me are going to try and go to Pollack pines this weekend and see if the Mormon Emigrant Trail has any snow.  We are planning on leaving the bay area Sunday around 7am. We will most likely stay the night there and head back on Monday.  I’m not trying to get in to too much trouble but I would like to go play in the snow with my kids.  The invite is there if you would like to join us.  If you have suggestions or advise for us noobs, by all means let me know.  I have only been there once a while back with a Taco I used to have and while it was fun to play it wasn’t fun to get stuck all the time.  So this time I think we can manage the trail with the 80.

The best thing you can do for the 80 in the snow is to AIR DOWN.
Depending on the stiffness of your tires, you will want to air down
into the low teens if not all the way to almost 8-10 psi (for really
stiff tires). This will allow you to float that weight right on top
of the snow. Wish I could make it.
