Withinthe thali we were served three desserts, malpua, badam ka halwa and rabri. All three were absolutely delicious, perfectly sweet and the best part of it is you can have seconds (or maybe even thirds!).

The restaurant is done up well, with hues of yellow, purple and dark wood decorating the interiors. It is also much better spaced out than its previous location. There is also a separate set of tables towards one side of the restaurant with partitions which we were informed will serve an a la carte menu towards the end of the year. A first for the restaurant, for those customers who may not want hearty portions but still want to experience Rajasthani cuisine.

By Car: If the Karama post office is on your right, take the second right turn (after the one for the post office). Once you turn into the lane (not the service road), Rajdhani is on the right side.

By Cab: Telling the cab driver to take the right after the right for the Karama post office will get you to the correct lane. Some drivers might know the restaurant Indian Summer, Rajdhani is right before it.

As with all restaurants in JLT, Rajdhani Street too has outdoor and indoor seating areas. The outdoor area has nice views of the lake and the high-rise towers while the indoor area is very vibrant and colourful with yellow and green chairs and colourful cartoons on the wall. The staff especially Mr. Pramod, the Manager, were very friendly and helpful and all the dishes that we tried were based on their suggestion. The menu is funky and goes well with their theme.

From the Chaat section, we had Dahi Papdi Chaat. Again, nice presentation, the dahi (curd) came in a separate cute mini jar and the rest of the dish came in a closed glass bottle. So you can add as much or as little of the curd. I just went over-board and added the whole thing, and again, we were literally fighting for the last bit.

My lil one is always tempted when he hears cheese sandwich, so we ordered the Breach Candy Grilled Cheese Sandwich. It looks like a club sandwich but with a veggie and cheese filling served with mint chutney and French Fries. Yes, I loved this too!! How can I not, when they serve such amazing food!!

By this time, we were all full but the Manager suggested that we have to try the Bombay Tawa Pulao which is one of their bestsellers. So, we did, and now my hubby and I are a fan too. The pulao is served in a kadai along with papad, raita and a veg. gravy which to me tasted like a butter masala gravy. Whatever it was, it was piping hot and delicious. The veg. pulao was perfectly balanced in terms of flavour and spice and I loved the fried onions on top.
