It means baseball, the exact word in finnish (notice the finnish
newsgroup hierarchy sfnet.*) is pesäpallo (note the two dots abowe the
first 'a'). It's a bit like american baseball, although the field is
different and pitches aren't made from a distance but vertically and
near the batter who tries to hit the ball when it's moving towards the
ground.
