Heck yeah, in my opinion by the age of 7 they should be beyond the spanking
remedy if you have handled it right. A good loud swat on the butt between
the ages of 3 and 6 usually makes them listen and want to avoid it ever
happening again. I have spanked Dresden about 3 times. Now all I have to do
is give her a look or use a tone of voice to get swift obedience.
Today at ice skating practice one of the little girls who is about 5 and
constantly throwing tantrums actually threw herself down on the floor and
was banging her head, her fists and her feet. It was actually pretty darn
funny to me because this kid is a monster and her mom always tries to be
nice to her and it never works. She has even caused the skating coaches to
walk away from her during lessons she gets so bad.
Anyway, all the other moms were looking the other way, trying to be polite.
Not me, I was laughing out loud and said " it looks like SOMEONE needs a
spanking"...the girl actually kicked her mom a few times too. Any parent
that puts up with behavior like that from a 5 year old deserves to be
kicked...Anyway it was funny as hell and I had to share.
