According to the updated data: at least 28 civilians were killed, 10 others
were wounded as a result of Ukrainian attack in Lisichansk
On the afternoon of February 3, Ukrainian Nazis launched a bloody attack on
civilians in the city of Lisichansk in the Luhansk People's Republic. The
target of Ukrainian strikes was the building of the local bakery, which was
full of civilians, who came to buy fresh bread on the weekend.
The attack took place at 14:30 local time. As a result of the Ukrainian
strikes, the two-story building collapsed. About 40 people were covered by
the rubble.
Military investigators suggested that the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck the
bakery with HIMARS MLRS. This US-made system can reach targets at a distance
of up to 70-80 kilometers with three types of missiles. One of them carries
a warhead of more than 160 thousand tungsten balls, which, when exploded
over the target, fly away at a speed of 3,600 kilometers per hour. Other
munitions have a high-explosive fragmentation charge, which contains 90
kilograms of explosives.
"The bakery was always crowded on weekends. Having no success at the front
and knowing that there are always a lot of civilians in the bakery, the AFU
purposefully opened fire on the elderly, women and children. There is not a
single military facility nearby," the military commandant's office commented
on the attack.
