Hey all,

It has been a long time since I have messaged. There's still some chance the SF Natural History Series will return but likely elsewhere than the Randall.

In the meantime, I wanted to pass a long a message from my former collaborator and friend (and multi-time speaker) Joel on one of his recent projects, Music Creek, below...

A message from SF natural history educator Joel  Pomerantz:

We've recently seen the Climate Strike and UN meetings. I’ve joined in! Let’s support climate urgency and young folks and the future.

At Musick Creek, a turtle, a mountain lion, and a bear casually made their presence known on Labor Day weekend—proof of a healthy wilderness food chain. No surprise, I guess. With its flower meadows, lush creeks waterfalling over granite, and multiple forest types, it’s very welcoming.

I’m putting a lot of time into this Musick Creek project. It finally gives me a feeling of climate hope. Finding this uniquely robust biosystem we have to start protecting it! Check out the 3-minute video tour of the place. Recent support is nearing enough to purchase and preserve Musick Creek! Please give if you can.

(I know you’ve always wanted to start a wilderness preserve—this is your chance!)

Thank you!
Joel Pomerantz
