The sFlowTrend service probably hasn’t started, which means the web server isn’t running. You can check the service using Administrative Tools>Services, and look for sFlowTrend-Pro server. If it is not running, then we need to look at why.
The most likely reasons are relating to the Java Virtual Machine not being able to run.
- You must select the correct sFlowTrend installer for the JVM installed. Even if you have a 64-bit system, if you have installed the 32-bit JVM then you have to use the sFlowTrend 32-bit installer. Likewise, you need the 64-bit installer with the 64-bit JVM.
- If that’s OK, and you use the 32-bit JVM/installer, then the most likely issue is lack of memory. Try editing the file c:\Program Files\sFlowTrend-Pro\bin\sflowtrend-server.vmoptions, and add a line to the bottom of the file
-Xmx1024m
If you’re using notepad to edit the file, make sure that “all files” is selected when saving the file. Also, you’ll need to run notepad as administrator.
After making this change, so back to Administrative Tools>Services, and try starting the sFlowTrend service.
If it still isn’t working, please post back.
