Today, Installed inMon sFlowTrend(Version 7.0.1) on my MAC (ran on docker).

Able to open sFlowTrend in the browser. switch has been configured using the CLI to send sFlow, with the collector IP and Port (172.17.0.2/Port 6343). But, sFlowTrend is not receiving sFlow from the switch.

is anything is missing ? and please help in further debugging.

Your help is much appreciated. thanks in advance!

Thanks,

Using docker, you would need to first make sure that the port (udp:6343) is mapped from the container to your Mac, and then that sFlow is sent to the IP address of your Mac (not 172.x.x.x probably, as that is an address of the private docker switch). Also, make sure that the Mac firewall isn’t blocking udp:6343.

Wireshark is your friend when troubleshooting flows.  A laptop running Wireshark hanging off your switch will soon tell you if flow are being sent over the wire to your collector.
