I installed sflowtrend on Raspberry Pi3 using the .deb package.  The install log reads ok, but when I start the sflowtrend service, it appears to be having an error as the status immediately goes back to "stopped".  Is there a log file for sflowtrend where I can see what error is being generated?

It’s probably the memory configuration that’s the problem, it will be trying to reserve more than is available. You can tweak this using the instructions at http://inmon.com/products/sFlowTrend/help/html/installation.memory.html - I would try something like

-Xmx768m

first, if that works you could gradually increase it.

If that doesn’t work, post back and we can try some additional logging.

Thanks Stuart!  After adjusting the memory, the service started OK.  I will fiddle with the memory to find the upper limit, but as this is just a small test lab, I don't envisage I'll be needing too much.
