Arista vEOS - sFlow

Hello Everyone,

I am trying to view flows traversing Arista vEOS, and have configured agent using link "https://blog.sflow.com/2017/03/arista-eos-telemetry.html".

The problem is - I cannot see any flows and also there are no Keys under Key Tab.

Can someone help.

Suraj,

It looks like the traffic level is low and you need to set the 1:N packet sampling rate.  Something like:

config> sflow rate 512

Then you will see that "Number of Samples" count start to increment.

Does the Hardware Sample Rate still say 1048576?  On Arista you have to add the "dangerous" keyword when you set the sampling rate to anything less than 16K.

You could also generate more traffic (e.g. with "iperf" or "sudo ping -f")

Yes, the  Hardware Sample Rate still say 1048576 and tried adding "dangerous" keyword, did not work.

I believe that EOS only supports packet sampling on physical switches, i.e. the vEOS virtual machine you are using does not currently support packet sampling.
