Is there anyway to configure sflow-rt to listen on a port other than 6343 ?

I'm using/testing several sflow analyzers and using a forwarder to make the flow available on localhost:9000 localhost:9001, etc.

You can change the port that sFlow-RT is listening on for sFlow, just set the option -Dsflow.port=<port number> in JVM_OPTS in the sFlow-RT start.sh script.

There are a number of other sFlow-RT startup parameters you can control through JMV_OPTS, they are described in the sFlow-RT web interface:

The JVM options are also useful for setting up memory allocation. By default only 100 Megabytes is allocated to sFlow-RT, if you are monitoring a large network you should increase this number.

The alternate port specification allowed sflow-rt to start. (Much easier to get to the page you mention that way). :)

Thanks,
Michael

Good point! That is a downside of distributing the web-based documentation that requires the software to be running. I need to think about the best way to include the command line parameters that might be needed to start the software.
