I was researching health fairs in San Francisco and San Mateo Counties, and came across the website for the SF Fil-Am Lions Club.

Our organization, Bay Area Cancer Connections, has been the leading nonprofit educator and free support network serving anyone affected by breast or ovarian cancer in the Bay Area for 28 years. We offer over 50 classes and events each month, as well as fitness and wellness programs, personalized medical research, complimentary counseling, and a boutique with free wigs, hats, scarves, bras, prostheses and swimsuits. And it's all free.

I'm writing because we recently launched a Mobile Resource Center - a blue van named Tiffany - to take our services directly to clients, to make it easier to reach people who need our assistance. We have taken Tiffany to Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, clinics in the East Bay, and to Sunday Streets in San Francisco.  Inside Tiffany clients can find a wig boutique and other supplies to make their lives easier while going through treatment, as well as caring volunteers to help set them up with assistance.

We are currently researching other opportunities to bring Tiffany to health fairs, community health centers, and other community events. Please let us know if you think Tiffany would be a good fit for your next health fair or other event.
