SFF18 Meeting-December 15th, 5:30p SFYC

Hello SFF18 Fleet Members,

I've posted a few things to the group, but want to formally introduce myself. I bought Ben Lamond's F18 Infusion one year ago and have been sailing out of Santa Cruz Yacht Club on Monterey Bay. I'm a novice when it comes to sailing and racing F18s, but with the help of Shawn Hwang, Marcus Leitner, Ben Brown and James Melvin crewing and teaching, I've learned a lot this year and I'm charged up for 2020.

Charles and I have spoken about increasing the participation of the F18 owners in area and would like to start with a meeting and dinner at SFYC before the 2020 season. The goal will be identifying the events we want to focus participation on as a fleet. We also want to have some fleet sailing days and possibly clinics for the group to get people out sailing and learning, not just racing. I've had a some great sails this season, but the best ones were with other F18s.

Date: Saturday, December 15th

Time: 5:30p Meeting, 6:30p Dinner

Place: San Francisco Yacht Club

I’m in St Barths at the CataCup so not able to deal with the club, but I just checked the online members’ club calendar and there is a “Holiday Dinner Dance” on Saturday so we can only do Sunday the 15th.
