From the last attack? Jeez, wonder if their ISP is a spam-haven? I never
received ack from my complaint...
AARGH! Ok, despam-spamming again, hehe.
I've sent a 2nd notice complaint to them, and CC'ed it to you and Jade this
time, so ya'll can keep a list of complaints independently from the
spammer's ISP, whom I really *am* beginning to suspect of being
"spammer-friendly", if they're being so slow to terminate the scum who's
doing this.
Hopefully Jade'll be able to work out that "sorry for the spam"
counter-resetting post soon (noodge, noodge) :)
- j.
As the subject sez, J, no worries. :) I follow admin.announce religiously,
so I know you've been up to your neck in server relocations recently - and I
also suspect we've been under warez blitz again, if the "too many
connections" messages I've been getting recently are any indication.
So go to, lad, worry not about "noodges" such as mine - 'tis but a friendly
reminder, with no anger behind it. :)
Nah, probably not. They (the advertisers) are almost certainly
porno-related, and by now are more than aware of the possibility of
backlash.
They play the percentages and ignore complainants, at least until said
complainants begin shooting directly at their ISPs... and unfortunately, not
many people complain about the banner advertisers, unless they spam
directly.
Not that I care greatly about banner advertisers - by now, I've developed my
"fuzzy eyeball stare" to a fine art; I see what I want to see and the rest
just ... blurs. :) However, what I *do* care about is indiscriminant placing
of those ads. Moderating 30+ newsgroups here at SFF that cater primarily to
youngsters (computer games), I'm sensitive to what sort of ads I'd care to
show on my site. :)
